CHI GUNG

Chi Gung means energy expertise (Chi = energy, Gung = time served/work), and as such Tai Chi is a form of Chi Gung. The movements are usually simpler in Chi Gung, than in Tai Chi, to allow the practitioner to concentrate more on the energy flow, rather than on complex moves.
There are two main types of Chi Gung; Chi Gung for health,
and Chi Gung for Martial Arts.
The Chi Gung in the Tai Chi classes
is mainly for health, although some explanation is given on martial
aspects,
Chi Gung for Martial Arts is taught privately.
The Tai Chi classes begin and end with Chi Gung exercises.
The Tai Chi classes are kept to a reasonable size, so that beginners
can get the necessary guidance.
Beginners
are always welcome at any time, just come and join in, a lesson costs £5.
